3. All plant material must be indigenous, and designed to be
low maintenance and drought resistant whenever possible. |
| |
4. Art
within the park is encouraged to be interactive and
educational based whenever possible. Through signage young
visitors would be encouraged to explore and discover hidden
art objects. Art features may include interactive
parts/features that include the use of wind, sound, light
and other natural elements. The park can not contain any
play structures such as slides, climbing structures or
swings. |

5. Three
(3) pathways will connect the area to the existing
neighborhood, and sidewalks located on Holly and
Territorial. Pavers are to be sold to underwrite the
project. A compass in the center of the 3 connected pathways
will serve as navigation tool to use in signage, to find art
pieces, and the location of purchased pavers, as well as an
aerial landmark. |

6. In
accordance to Canby Livability bylaws, all service &
material providers will need to be local based whenever
possible. |
| |
7. Artists
associated with the project can live outside the Canby Area.
|
| |
8. As
outlined in the Earthworks conceptual drawing there will be
3 sections within the area, containing 4 pieces of art each,
including a bench in each section (total of 3). The benches
do not have to match but need to be of an artistic nature
that is functional. |

9. At
the request of the original neighborhood survey, the main
anchor piece located behind the “Welcome to Canby” sign must
provide an artistic structural barrier that provides
protection to the interior of the park from the traffic of
the 4 way stop. (Note: 3-5 stone pillars with engraved art
have been proposed. Though drilling the pillars to create a
water feature could be a possibility, at this time it is not
proposed. |
| |
10. At
the request of the original neighborhood survey, any
structures or foliage located along the edges of Holly St.
or Territorial can not be over 4 feet high. This feature is
to allow visitors to see into the area as well as
discouraging negative activities. |
